Submit your film

We encourage all filmmakers, regardless of age and experience to submit their films into one of 3 categories:

- micro short (30 s - 2 min)

- short film (2 min - 20 min)

- feature film (20 min - 1:30 h)

RULES & TERMS

Since this is the festival's first edition, submitting your film will be free of charge and the festival will not be highly selective, but the film needs to meet all of the following criteria:

- All themes & genre are welcome.

- No premiere requirements.

- All entries must be original.

- There is no limit to the amount of films that a filmmaker, producer or film school may submit.

- All works need to be produced after 1st of January 2020.

- By submitting your work you certify that you hold necessary rights for the presentation of this film at KFF.

- Any films that are not in Croatian or English must provide Croatian / English subtitles. 

- Once a film has been submitted for participation it cannot be withdrawn.

AWARDS

All films will be evaluated by a professional jury (yet to be announced) based on overall quality in directing, acting, writing, editing, cinematography etc.

All selected films receive a certificate and a laureal, while the best film from each category receives a trophy and traditional Croatian products. All filmmakers are invited to the festival and they must accept or decline their invitation by a certain deadline.

HOW TO SUBMIT

You may submit your films through a Google Forms doc that will be posted on June 15th, or you can contact us directly for an alternative application. You will also be able to apply via the platform FilmFreeway soon.

DEADLINE

- Applications open: 15th of June 2026. 

- Applications close: 25th of July 2026.
